SOP: Handling Partner Inquiries – Flagged, State Questioned (SQ), and State Tags/TIQs

Core Principle

Before responding:

  1. Review the transaction.

  2. Identify who initiated the issue (Analyst vs. State).

  3. Confirm next steps internally if needed.

  4. Then guide the partner clearly.

Flagged Filings

What it is:
An internal note from the Filing Analyst requesting clarification or correction.

Support Steps

  1. Review the transaction

    • Read the analyst’s flag note.

    • Check policy docs, LOB, insured/insurer info.

    • Take screenshots if helpful.

  2. Determine next step

    • If clear → Guide the partner on what to fix.

    • If unclear or new info is provided → Email the assigned analyst via side conversation.

  3. Check availability

    • Confirm in Teams if the analyst is in office.

    • If unavailable, follow up with their Team Lead.

Do not guess at filing requirements. Always verify first.
